Wael Elosta, DDS, FAGD

Dr. Elosta was supposed to be an engineer until a friend in dental school fascinated him with her tooth creation from morphology class. He realized that dentistry offered a creative component as well as an opportunity to work with people in a meaningful way, and his decision was made.

After graduating dental school in 2000, Dr. Elosta completed a two year general practice residency at Louisiana State University, School of Dentistry. Later, he moved to Virginia Beach to join a large group practice and became one of the lead doctors. Dr. Elosta has completed advanced training in several fields including a one year post graduate program in implant dentistry from Georgia Regents University School of Dentistry, training to become a preferred provider for Invisalign orthodontics, and completing advanced learning seminars in cosmetic dentistry. His continual quest for education resulted in receiving the fellowship award of the Academy of general dentistry that is attained after completing over 500 hours of hands-on participation and lecture courses. Dr. Elosta is also an active member of the American Academy of Implant Dentistry, the State of Virginia Dental Association, and the American Dental Association.

Outside the office, Dr. Elosta enjoys running, playing racquetball and spending time with his beautiful wife Radwa and their two girls Nadine and Layla.

Curtis Henderson, DDS

Dr. Henderson grew up in Clio, Michigan. Though his childhood dentist encouraged him to pursue dentistry, at the time it was a profession far from his consideration. After earning a BS in Neuroscience from The University of Michigan, he worked as a ballroom dance instructor. While teaching dance, a student of his, an orthodontist, also thought dentistry would be a perfect career for him and insisted he take the Dental Admissions Exam.

In 2012, he moved to Madison, Wisconsin where he worked part-time at a non-profit dental clinic while pursuing his MPH at A.T. Still University. After achieving his MPH, he was promoted to the Executive Director position of the non-profit clinic, More Smiles Wisconsin. Dr. Henderson worked here for three years, helping address the unmet dental needs of the most vulnerable population.

In 2017, he enrolled at the Marquette University School of Dentistry for his dental degree (DDS), and then completed a General Practice Residency at Harvard School of Dental Medicine & Cambridge Health Alliance in 2022. During residency, he received additional training in implantology, oral surgery, molar endodontics, and digital dentistry. Frequent trips to the DMV area during residency built the desire to one day call it home. Dr. Henderson is excited to now join the excellent team at Lansdowne Family Dental and looks forward to providing high quality dental care.
